Now is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the
best robot vacuum deals robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don't wish to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.
Its design is superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy
robotic vacuum cleaner comparison than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's
automatic vacuum cleaner Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a range of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not disappoint. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums often fail. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few misses in corners and on walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, modify your home map or re-label the rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people, but it's one that can help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded
robot vacuum cleaner ebay vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however, it's costly.
It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price tag.
If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted floors, as well as a mopping function for a low cost. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near a power outlet and plenty of room to allow it to move around however.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it will be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects it encounters, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it needs to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning from where it began.
The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.
