It is a tracker of upgrades that limit the amount to which an item can be upgraded.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools to give you an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used. They can be acquired by crafting, purchased from vendors or on the trading post, looted, or obtained as rewards. Certain upgrades also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are classified into two categories: universal and type-restricted. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones, can be used on any equipment. Type-restricted enhancements, like inscriptions, have to be put on specific kinds of equipment to unlock their bonuses.
Some upgrade components can only be salvaged by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Ascended armor or legendary gear may contain upgrade components that can only be recovered with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Tool. Upgrades slotted into an
item upgrade cannot be substituted with upgrades of the same type, except for glyphs which can be freely swapped in and out of gathering tools.
Glyphs could be replaced by other glyphs. Any upgraded item will display both the original upgrade and the new one when you hover over it. Inscriptions are able to add their own name to the item they alter, and is visible by right clicking on the upgraded weapon or piece of gear.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to provide additional text features. They are usually inspired by icons or other symbols that are visually connected to the concept they represent, but they can also be completely abstract. Glyphs are defined by Unicode, which assigns a unique code to each symbol and allows them to be referenced in various fonts. Some glyphs come in multiple forms, such as swashes and small caps. Others have a single form, such as the capital letter A. The Glyphs Panel has a search field that lets you to search by a glyph's name, CID, GID or Unicode value. You can also use a glyph set's context menu to create a new glyph or edit the glyph set.
The context menu in the Glyphs Panel lets you select a font that will be used for glyphs within the set. You can also select to save a particular font when you add a symbol. If a glyph has more than one font The Glyphs panel displays the fonts available in pink.
The glyph metrics of fonts can affect the layout of text. A glyph, as an example, may have a width that is the distance it takes to get to the end of a font. The glyph might also have side bearings which are white space on the left or right sides of the font. These side bearings can be called kerning, and they affect how the glyph is displayed in the document.
Glyphs can be upgraded within the Nightmare Dungeons at a Glyph Upgrade Altar. The Glyph Upgrade Altar will be revealed after the specified amount of time has passed in each Nightmare Dungeon. The altar allows players to spend the Glyph XP they've earned by running the dungeon, and it will also boost all of the nearby Paragon Board nodes in its radius.
Each glyph comes with its own primary stat as well as secondary stat bonuses, which can be added to the total hero's stats. These bonuses can aid you in deciding which glyphs to upgrade, and where to put them on the Paragon Board.
Reroll tokens

Set Bonus
A set bonus can be added as an extra effect to an
item upgrader mod of equipment. This effect increases certain abilities or stats, and gives them more power or utility. There are many different set bonuses, and each has a distinct effect it offers. These bonuses are exclusive to the piece of equipment which grants them. Each set bonus has a specific amount it offers, and this value is crucial to know when choosing the right gear for your character.
There are 15 bonuses available in Breath of Wild. Some of these effects are passive while others require the player to trigger them. Some of these effects are linked to the armor, while others are tied to a mod or enhancement in the item. In contrast to the glyphs, set bonuses do not reset when you upgrade your gear.
When you purchase a new piece of gear, it will have its own set bonus, which may be a small increase in defense or damage. For example the Blood Mandate set provides a small fire and cold damage boost. However, you can only receive five copies of this set bonus per character.
Other set bonuses could protect you from certain types of enemies or a reduction in cooldowns. Certain sets of armor may even boost the specific weapon type. For instance, the Bone Weap set bonus stops Stal enemies from attacking and increases the damage output of bone weapons. This is especially useful for hunters that like to utilize bon weapons.
The majority of players select the bonus that is best suited to their class. They want to maximize their character's performance and get the most out of it. The majority of the bonuses are different for each class, and it is difficult to decide which one is the most effective.
These set bonuses are offered as tokens that can be obtained by submitting a number of warzone commendations to an operation vendor. Alternatively, they can be snatched from bosses of Operations as well as other content including dailies at level 75, weeklies and heroics.
