Continuing from last time.
This time, I was invited to Punta Cana by my father-in-law and his wife, so I didn't have much information about the resort until I arrived. It was all-inclusive, so I could eat and drink as much as I wanted during my stay. The resort had restaurants such as steakhouse, seafood, teppanyaki, French, Dominican, and buffet, but since we had children with us, we mostly went to the buffet. We tried everything except teppanyaki and French (no children allowed), but the food was not very good.
The alcohol wasn't very tasty either. Still, since it was a vacation, I drank a lot of sparkling wine instead of water from the morning. First, two glasses with breakfast. One glass during the beach/pool break. Two glasses of white wine at lunch. Another glass at the pool bar in the afternoon. One glass in the evening. Two-three glasses at dinner. One glass for a nightcap. I drank every day from morning to night, but I didn't have any hangovers...
There were also various events at the resort every day. During the day, there was Zumba dance, yoga, foam party, etc. At night, there were dance shows and movie nights. There was a water park for children, a casino, and a sports bar. We stayed for four nights, but in the end we didn't leave the resort... Personally, I wanted to go out and try different places, but my overprotective husband didn't want to take my son because it was dangerous. My husband's step-sister and her husband, who joined us this time, left their one-year-old daughter at their parents' house in NJ and participated in something like a Punta Cana exploration tour. After all, there are limited things you can do with children. But I don't have the courage to leave my three-year-old son with someone and go on a trip.
