Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well, but this is something that you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

While it was not common, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
