It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective however it's something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuums That mop vacuum that can be found in our review, but it comes with some distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the best robot hoover, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has a few control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto vacuum and mop-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets entangled in a hazard like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
