It's also simple to use and set up. Its ability to restart where it left off in our tests is another impressive feature. It could do this for 77 minute on one cleaning, and then the battery died.
Contrary to other robovacs we evaluated, the i3+ EVO features self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's filled. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it must be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin holds 2.4L of trash and is enough to last five or four cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.
This model, like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also lets you navigate through neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not the i3+ EVO.
Although the i3+ EVO is more effective at picking up debris on surfaces than the other robovacs we looked at however, it's not the most effective when it comes to cleaning edges and corners. It's also more abrasive on furniture despite being relatively silent. It moved chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and became stuck on cords and toys while testing.
2. Black & Decker Pro Q5
The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums or are just beginning to get started. It offers an elegant design, powerful navigation, and efficient automation at a low cost. It's the
best robot hoover pound-for-pound model currently available and even matches some of Roborock's more expensive models in a variety of ways.
This robot is excellent at cleaning floors that are not clean, and its avoidance tech helps it to steer away from furniture legs and other obstacles. It also does well on carpets and scores the top score in our tests of navigation. It's only downside is that it's more noisy than other models and doesn't do as well in our owner-satisfaction and predicted reliability assessments.
The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin that is 770ml, which means you don't have to empty it as frequently as some other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is also very generous compared to others we've tried. If the battery is low, it will automatically return to its dock, where it recharges before resuming cleaning from where it began. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
This is one of the first robots we've seen to incorporate 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations, helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings and set up no-go zones. You can also view the status of your battery. The app is easy to use, but it doesn't support Apple HomeKit; that feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its footnote on its website in the beginning of November to reflect that this feature has been delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit however, a lot of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.

It also has a spot cleaning mode that allows you to clean or mop the specific area of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a certain route. This is a great option if you have narrow stairs or hallways. It was capable of cleaning carpets during our carpet cleaning test however, it had trouble with longer pile carpets and rug. It can also be set to automatically lift the mop pad whenever it comes in contact with carpet. This is a fantastic feature if you want to avoid mowing your carpets.
