Read Home ) Wheel Pushchairs
All-terrain stroller that is lightweight and durable. It also offers excellent maneuverability. Its one-hand fold is compact, which means it's lightweight and freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines to a near-flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Baby-friendly? Yes and with a carrycot.
A good suspension and air-filled tires can help you to handle rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you must wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old before doing this.
Ickle Bubba Air
This lightweight pushchair by Ickle Bubba is packed with lots of features that parents will love. This travel system includes a carrycot that is flat for babies and an adjustable rear and forward facing seat for the pushchair.
The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it has received praise from its customers. It's incredibly light - both the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg and it's super-easy to put together. In fact I was able put it up and running in just five minutes, which is pretty amazing considering that it also included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!
The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie, who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to use. The basket has plenty of space, and I find it nice that the handle bar comes with an area to keep your phone and keys safe.
The only slight downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which could be an issue for taller parents. It's covered with a soft, comfortable leather-like material, and is easy to wipe down.
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is a great choice for parents who love to explore and are always on the go. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be utilized on field and forest paths. The front
3 wheel jogger is lockable and can be swiveled to increase the flexibility. The stroller also comes with five-point safety harnesses with an adjustable front bar that will keep your child secure on all journeys. The parking brake will keep the stroller stationary while you take a rest. The comfortable seat is simple to lower to a lying position, and the canopy opens to reveal with netting to ensure maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate dad or mum's heights.
The Runner will accompany you on any adventure, whether it's a quick walk, a longer hike or a long-distance trek. It features a completely flat lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels to ensure a smooth ride. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets and crowded sidewalks, and the stroller folds up easily to fit into car boots and storage spaces.
Some parents have reported that the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to maneuver than its predecessor, and the locking mechanism is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). The handlebars are higher than some competitors, which means they may not be suitable for taller parents. However the stroller is strong and adaptable and is a good option by active families.
Red Kite Push Me moving
The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its easy-to-use and simple essentials for parenting. It's their newest and most expensive addition to their budget-friendly stroller line. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat compatible so you can use it from the time of birth.
The new Pace has some amazing design features, including a rose gold tint to the chassis, hood and stroller trims that make it stand out from its competition. The car seat and stroller fabrics are fashionable in tan, grey and cream. You can also choose to add a leather handle and bumper bar to complement.
It's suitable from birth to a max weight of 22kg and the stroller seat can easily be converted from the carrycot into a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with several lie-back positions, plus comfortable padded leg rests, and an extendable sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.
Furthermore, when folded in half, the Pace is 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among others. It's also easy to collapse, with two buttons on either side of the handlebar that just need to be pressed in and then pop out.
Bugaboo Fox 5,
Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features a shorter wheel width, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tested it with my two children - an infant and an eight week old - over rough terrain as well as woodland walks that are grassy and even cobblestones.
The large, puncture-proof wheels - either 22cm or a bit larger - can handle various terrains. They also come with a handy flap that can open or closes to allow more air to enter should you need it this is a nice touch. It's a little larger than most pushchairs, yet does not feel heavy or bulky when you are pushing it across bumpy surfaces.
The seat fabric is machine washable, as are the frame and faux leather grips are easy to clean. It is also quieter than other pushchairs and I was comfortable with it on busy city streets. One of the advantages is that it comes with accessory points, meaning you can put in footmuffs, parasols, changing bags, and even a snack tray. The hood can be used to block the elements of wind and rain, but it's not waterproof. The single pram can be outfitted with the Comfort
3 wheeled buggy board (not included) that gives your child more leg room. It took around 20 minutes to assemble the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it into the seat.
UPPAbaby Ridge
If you're looking forward to a morning jog in the cool air or a stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a fun-filled adventure. This jogging stroller is all-terrain and is designed for maximum performance to keep your child and you both active.
The large 12" and 16" foam-filled tires offer a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension system that is patent-pending allows you to effortlessly glide across trails in the woods, while minimizing impact on the legs and back of your child. The performance disc handbrake allows you to quickly stop, even when jogging on a downhill slope.
From bustling market stalls to street musicians performing a tune, the Ridge is able to navigate your most loved city scenes with ease. The large basket can accommodate all your essentials as well as market purchases, while the large canopy offers sun and wind protection. The canopy on the front can be removed to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to watch your baby.
The Ridge's reversible seating allows you to decide whether your child will face you or the world ahead and its easy foot brake system is intuitive for parents who are new. The reversible handlebar on the back is a fantastic feature that allows you to adjust it to suit your height. The Ridge's fold, unlike other strollers for jogging, is sturdy and self-standing when folded.
iCandy Core
iCandy's new pushchair is truly groundbreaking and has a lot of features that are really going to wow parents. It features a Multi-Mode wheelbase and LED Visibility Hub light that's a first in the industry. It also comes with an integrated Ride-on Board which saves on future costs and makes it easy for an exhausted toddler to join you on family outings.
The Core is available as an entire travel system or as a single seat. It works with most popular car seats, such as those from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It has the largest seat unit of the iCandy line, so you can use it to help your baby's start and beyond. It's a luxuriously designed pushchair that is made of premium knitted fabric. The child's bumper bar and the parent's adjustable handlebar are made of soft leatherette. The fold-away calf supports is also very comfortable for children.
I was awed by how easy it is to fold and collapse - it only requires one hand, even with the seat unit in place. It is also easy to fit into your boot and hallway, making it perfect to travel with. The iCandy Core comes with lots of extra accessories, including a colour matching changing rucksack and a footmuff/liner.
