The i3+ EVO unlike the other robot vacuums we have tested, has a self emptying bin that automatically disposes of debris in an external dirt compartment located on its charging base when it's full. This helps reduce the need for hands-on maintenance and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it still needs to be manually empty after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L, which is enough to last four to five cleaning sessions.
Like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It can also allow you to navigate in neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores a single map while the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7 is also able to make use of its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO is not able to do this.
The i3+ EVO does a better job of removing surface debris in comparison to other robovacs that we have examined, but it's not the best at cleaning corners and edges. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It was quite rough on furniture as it forced chairs away. It also made some collisions with the sides of the test bed.
2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums or are just beginning to get started. It packs serious power, a smart navigation system and easy automation into a slick design at an affordable price. It's the most affordable model for the money available right now and even beats some Roborock models that are much more expensive in many ways.
This robot is great at cleaning floors that are dirty, and its avoidance tech assists it in staying away from furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpet and earns a high score in our tests of navigation. The only issue is that it's more raucous than the other models we test, and it doesn't fare as well in our owners satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin of 770ml, meaning that you won't have to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240 minute running time is also generous when in comparison to other 2-in-1 robots we have tested. When the battery is running low, it returns automatically to its dock where it recharges and resumes cleaning where it began. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and also use voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen with 3D mapping. That, combined with some other advancements, allows it to do exceptionally well in our vacuuming and mopping tests. You can schedule cleaning times, set no-go zones, and check the battery's status, among other things. The app is simple to use, but it doesn't support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its website's footnote in the beginning of November to reflect that the feature was delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit however, a lot of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.

This model utilizes an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map your home and design efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was highly rated for its accuracy and navigation. It also did an excellent job in avoiding obstacles like furniture. It's also able to find its way back to the base station which is a nice feature in the event it runs out of battery during a cleaning session.
It also comes with a spot cleaning mode that lets you to mop or clean the specific part of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a fixed path, which is beneficial if you have narrow staircases or hallways. In our carpet cleaning test, it performed well cleaning carpets. However, it struggled to clean carpets and rugs with larger piles. It is able to raise the mop pad when it comes in contact with carpet. This is a fantastic option for those looking to not have to mop their carpets.
The iMop comes with an onboard dust bin as well as a water tank which it fills and refills at the end of each cleaning session.
