1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've tested. They have top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the most powerful model) they utilize smart mapping to produce precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. They also come with carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it spots a lot of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on bare floors and are especially adept in removing dog hair. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our first choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to get caught up in shoes and socks and can't navigate tight spaces very well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.
Still, it's very good to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on an Roomba from iRobot, and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also extremely quiet and works while you are at work or at school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't stay on well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle however. If you need to, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient in taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also features a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the
best robot vacuum that mops robot vacuum for carpets, though it's not as effective as some rivals in deep
cleaning robot mop and vacuum.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to remove and extend its mop. This will help prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is ideal to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. However, it's not equipped with the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During testing during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire home, and it did so with only 66 percent of its battery left. It did a decent cleaning job on different rooms and floors with various flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was superb and it was able to avoid fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming this feature, which we've not seen on other robot vacuum/mop combinations.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
The robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular look that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the boxy units of the competition. It's among our most attractive looking robot vacuums. iRobot's latest flagship model also is its most advanced, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).
It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.
Like other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in the mornings before work, or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.
It's also quite expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and look better. If you're willing with a bit more noise and a little more cost, this is a very capable two-in-one that should please almost everyone.

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line
robot vacuum cleaner uk vacuum and mop. It comes with a variety of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The smart robot uses the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time but this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.
Its vacuum has a suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on the amount of dirt they are.
For bigger homes it's worth looking for models that has zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean a specific area of your home using the app or voice commands. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have lot furniture. Also a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum pick up right where it left off is ideal for busy families.
5. iRobot Roomba RX3
The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you'd imagine from its price. It does a stellar job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses a reciprocating motion that cleans better than most of the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's self-sufficient too, with a full-featured application and a self-emptying, washable base.
The well-designed iRobot app guides you through a mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, arrange a spot clean or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app comes with a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.
It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It features a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean a specific area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed to resemble adorable eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, however it is more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums that we have examined. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
