This makes opening the window more simple and reduces the chance of closing the window accidentally during severe winds. They have been cycle tested to more than 30000 cycles and comply with BBA/Secured by Design and British Standards approved BS EN 13126-6:2008.

When deciding the size of the hinge, most frames made of upvc will have the 13mm stack height however if your original
