Inline Lever/Lever

The lever that is sprung can be cut to fit a wider range of locks. This is especially useful for doors with narrower frames, in which the cylinder is further back. A shortened lever is also an excellent option for doors where the latch could be activated by the thumb turn on the inside.

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle differs from the lever handles that are found on most doors. These handles are operated by one spindle or two spindles inline or offset. They are generally employed on UPVC double glazed window handles glazed doors. They come in many variations & styles.

The handles have been tested to at least 200,000 cycles and are available in several finishes including White and Silver, as well as Chrome & Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and resistant to corrosion. This gives the handle the best performance and durability to serve its intended use.

All of the UPVC lever pad designs come with the spindle and screws that allow them to be put on an existing or new uPVC door. Euro Cylinder

Cylinder locks are commonly used on uPVC doors, but can be utilized on other types of door. They work with a key to unlock a cylinder that is then revealed with pins that can be aligned with the pins in the lock body and permitting them to turn the cam, thereby opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins. Doors that are internal and external door handles and locks require different levels of security.

Choosing the right cylinder is vitally important; this depends on the way your door and handle are utilized. For instance, exterior doors should be fitted with a more secure cylinder while doors inside can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. Some cylinders have extra features that can improve security, for instance, anti-drill or anti bump properties.

To ensure that the euro cylinder is the correct size for your door, it should be measured accurately. The cylinder should be measured from the hole in the center of the fixing screw to the other end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this with the lock in place however when this isn't feasible, you can take it off and take it off to measure. A cylinder that extends beyond the handle and escutcheon might be susceptible to attacks like snapping locks, therefore it is crucial that it is not too long.

The design of many modern cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. They are designed to decrease attack chances by forcing the cylinders to rotate in a different direction. This can help deflect the attack, and keep your sliding patio door handle replacement safe.

There are also cylinders that are made to resist snapping. This is a common occurrence on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the break line of the lock and then the front of cylinder is snapped off. This is a lot faster and more straightforward than opening multipoint locks. It also leaves little evidence of a break-in which could hinder the insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is found within the base plate of your door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to bring your multipoint lock handles to their original position after using. In the past, a lot of these types of handle didn't have a spring built into them, and without it they can droop or 'drop' once the locking mechanism has been disengaged. This simple feature is one of the best methods to correct this issue and is an excellent way to stop your doors made of upvc from getting stuck in the open or closed position, since they aren't always easy to manually close by hand.

These spring cassettes are specifically made for use with multipoint locks that are sprung, they will not fit non-sprung multipoint handles. You will need to have a hole specifically cut in your backplate in order for them to fit (please see image for technical diagram). They are a replacement for existing damaged or missing cassettes inside the door handle backplate of numerous kinds of uPVC doors. They have a square cut out which can accommodate an 8mm spindle, and are sold as a set.
