Volvo drivers appreciate their key fob's useful remote features. They can lock and unlock their vehicle and start the engine, and even locate it with an app for smartphones.

First, place the fob of the key on an even surface, with the logo side facing upwards. Locate the button that lets you release it, then wedge a coin between the fob and the cover and pull it up gently.

Press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower all of the windows, and the sunroof, if your car comes with one. Once you're done with the vehicle, you can shut all windows by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.

You can also activate the panic alarm inside your car with the key fob. This will emit a loud, attention-grabbing blare that will frighten off thieves and help you get home in peace after a night out.
