What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds an additional widget to the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager costs 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no benefits to gameplay other than making it easier to view and purchase upgrades.

Boosters

Costs

There are a few costs that are associated with upgrades to items. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. This price is contingent on the new level of the item and the number of perks it receives, and can be expensive. It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of materials needed for an upgrade. These are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these items needed can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated based on the item's new ilvl, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial statistics. In some cases an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are available on a table.

Rarely, the benefits gained will cost more than one perk slot; in these situations the upgrade will replace the most expensive perks. Success Rate

The upgrading of an item is dependent on the chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it won't work. There are a number of ways to increase your chances of success. This includes using an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity or the addition of extra components to the upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is a product that you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade's success by a percentage. It's similar to the "luck bonus" that certain items provide however it is more reliable. It can be added to any weapon or armor and is able to be used up to three times.
