Unlike other upgrade components, jewels are able to be swapped by a different jewel of the same kind without damaging it. You can only replace the jewel only once in a piece of equipment.

Using more jewels in a movement will make it more smooth and is typically performed to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. Apart from improving performance, the diamonds create a surface that is harder than steel, so the repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause harm as easily.

They can be acquired starting in the areas of starting as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, or by performing road interactions. They can also be made by jewelers, and then found or purchased on the Trading Post.

The first trinkets a player can unlock is the cloak. It grants a small, but valuable boost to speed of movement and the ability to escape. Then, they can acquire rings, amulets, and necklaces in a similar manner to the way a player can acquire weapons and armor. Each piece of gear comes with one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal or jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any device.
