World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't change much after an upgrade and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying a new one. It is possible to upgrade a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket, however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer useful and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.
