World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

For example an item with the Upgrade item template that is ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix, modifying the name of the item to which it is applied (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the Best item upgrade method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item upgrader kit has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade an item, the base item will be replaced by an item upgrade that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could become more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll Best item upgrader upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a different set of bonuses. This is a good idea, but shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
