What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds an additional widget to the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager is a cost of 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Boosts

Rarely, the benefits obtained will cost more than one perk slot to acquire; in these situations the upgrade will replace the perks with the highest cost. The upgrader can also make other changes to the item, for example, changing the type of damage it deals to its weapon or removing a operative or unwieldy feature. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl and may require special materials, such as adamantine.

Success Rate

The upgrade of an item is dependent on the chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it won't succeed. However, there are some things that can increase the odds of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional components to your upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity can be bought through the NPC for the smithing process in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade succeeding by a certain percentage. It is similar to the luck bonus that some items come with but is more reliable. It can be added to any weapons or armor and can be used three times.

You can also add additional components to the upgrade to increase the chances of success. These materials are displayed in a separate window above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.

Another method to increase the odds of a successful upgrade is to use the item known as the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it.
