World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item upgrader mod is determined by the item upgrader kit's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can get up to five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

In the final game, you will often find that the Best item upgrader way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Utilizing a Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item level upgrade upgrading system lets players increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item upgrade requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades a piece of equipment the original item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside since the item may become more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or swims like dolphins). The item can be upgraded many times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the cost listed above.
