WoW Upgrades - The
Item UpgraderUpgrades can give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also added to every upgrade.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to
upgrade items gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item level upgrade (
minecraftcommand.science) will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items that are used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an
upgrade items is purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an button, which displays an image of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.
upgrade item costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to
upgrade item are acquired via several methods that are both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and some new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will be less expensive, even when they are part of a different gear set.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get lower-level gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it does bring some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable change is that crests only have one purpose and it's crucial to use them properly. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
