Car seat buggy
2 in 1 infant car seat and stroller in 1 combines two of the most important pieces of baby gear: the infant car seat and the stroller. It makes it much easier to take public transportation (and walk up and down the stairs).
Doona's infant car seat and stroller combo is a great option. It's the first integrated travel system that allows you to switch between your car seat and stroller in seconds without disturbing your sleepy baby.
Simple to use
Parents should have a stroller and car seat combination that is easy to use. These systems make it easy to switch between running errands, walking your dog, or going for a jog. They also assist you in keeping up with your child's changing needs so that you can focus on enjoying your family adventures. Our test subjects are awed by how smoothly and conveniently these travel systems glide regardless of whether they feature a single front wheel or a rotating front wheel. The Thule Urban Glide 2 Combo as well as the BOB Alterrain pro combo and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo are all easy to move. However, even the BOB Revolutionflex 3.0 Combo and Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo can be pulled by one hand.
Some models are difficult to attach or remove from the base, however. The Doona Combo requires a two step process for attachment, as well as straps that cover the bottom portion of the infant carrier. It's tempting to skip the steps however it could result in dangerous outcomes.
Some models are also more difficult to fold and store than others, making them less convenient. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for instance, is difficult to fold due to its massive dimensions and heavy frame. The model also has a tiny canopy, which some testers are disappointed with. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is easy to fold, with only a push of a button and a pull of the lever. This model is also a good choice for parents who plan to use their car seat on other vehicles because it can be quickly detached from the base and reattached to any standard stroller.
Easy to Fold
It should be simple to fold and unfold the car seat, whether you are storing it in your trunk, or in the closet. The
best 2 in 1 prams combinations we've tested fold easily with one hand and are durable enough to use on long walks. They are also easy to maneuver and glide effortlessly over uneven surfaces. We've seen some combos that can only be attached or disengaged using straps which may seem like an extra step and make it difficult for parents to secure the
car seat buggy 2 in 1 seat properly.
We are awestruck by the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo for its handy features and sturdy build, which includes a large storage basket that is accessible from front to back. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it easy to ensure a secure car seat installation simply by connecting the lower anchors and pulling the straps tight and clicking the carrier into the base.
It's also fairly light which makes it a great option for families or frequent travelers who have multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored highly in our ease of use tests. Both have a single wheel that is easy to push with one hand. Both have a single front wheel which is easy to push (one-handed!). They also come with a flexible swing wheel, which is ideal for shopping or running errands. The only downside is that they're very heavy, so it can be tricky to lift them up when you're carrying a child in the car seat.
Easy to Assemble
Some
egg stroller 2 in 1 and car seat combinations can be difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the most simple travel systems to put together. It includes a helpful guide. Other models we looked at, such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also relatively easy to assemble. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however isn't easy to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors and using straps that cover the bottom of the carrier. It's also very heavy, which means it takes two hands to secure the carrier into the base and detach it from there.
In our tests we took about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby v2 together, which is a bit fast when you consider the time it saves by not having to remove the pieces. Most of these models have an easy method of attaching and detaching the toddler's seat, but there are other options as well.
