WoW Upgrades - The
item upgrader kit Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.
The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The
item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the
item upgrade being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will display an image of the item when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an Item Level Upgrade (
Intern.Ee.Aeust.Edu.Tw) has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an
item upgrader mod upgrader at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a specific level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will be less expensive, even when they are part of another set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available after certain milestones are reached.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW players have a few choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests can only be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment you have, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
