World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance an item with the upgrade template ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the item upgrades to which it is applied (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with fewer upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate chances of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of a Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets leveled up.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player improves an item the original item will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item upgrade comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside, as the Best item upgrade can increase in price even if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it is given an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to go back to its original state, requiring the player to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
