If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through an efficient.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely for mopping you must pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home, identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This results in a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it comes with some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that doubles as the best robot hoover's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and an best automatic vacuum 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base comes with a few control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot vacuum best or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in a hazard, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy units.
