World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The upgrade feature for items allows players to boost the item level of equippable weapons or armor. This improves the stats and may also include buffs or rerolls an attach.
It is important to keep in mind that even though you can upgrade your magic and common equipment, it's usually not worth it. Rare and exclusive equipment will soon surpass the standard equipment and upgraded magic.
Cost
When a player upgrades an item, they have to spend Gold to upgrade the item. The cost to upgrade an
item upgrading varies based on the item's current status and type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are generally less expensive than upgrades to armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold needed increases as an item is upgraded.
The upgraded items will also have upgraded stats that will improve its performance in various ways. This includes increasing its attack power, critical strike chance, or damage per second. The upgraded item can also give additional bonuses to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to increase the overall strength of a group or unit, and can significantly impact the gameplay.
The items can be upgraded at any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. These NPCs are located in major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also locate item upgraders when they visit dungeons with high-level bosses, and by talking to the NPCs in their garrisons of their faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to increase the level of weapons, armor and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging of gear in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of making use of currency, players will need to visit an upgrader for their item to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be expensive, particularly when it concerns armor and weapons. Depending on the upgrade track each step in the level of an item can cost many Valorstones and crests. The total costs can be prohibitive for players who do not have the funds or are unable to grind them.
Fortunately, the game allows players to reroll an upgraded item with an exclusive tool within the items menu. This option allows you to exchange the upgraded item for an equivalent version at level 1 which comes with a different set of bonus effects. This is useful to gain better results on items that have already been upgraded. However, it could also be a waste.
Requirements
Upgrading is the process of increasing the level of the items that are equippable, such as trinkets, weapons, and armor. This boosts their effectiveness and makes them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their equipment by spending the appropriate currency at an upgrader. However, players must be aware that some upgrades require special requirements.
Early upgrades only increase the effectiveness of the base item by one level. Later upgrades give significant increases. Upgrades from level 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage plus two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on its level. This bonus consists of a guaranteed extra substat as well as a random stat that will change in value from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item which has been upgraded. The new item will come with a different set of extra bonuses, as well as an lower base level. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the rerolled item will not retain its original level or even a fraction of its resource.
Certain upgraded items can only be rerolled if the initial item was Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Some exceptional items are also allowed to be rerolled, but their original stats will be replaced with a flat bonus. Rerolling a Rare item will result in a normal version of the same kind, while the rerolling of an Epic item will result in an elite version of the same kind.
An upgraded item may also come with additional modifiers, which could further boost its stats and boost its performance. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade cost. They can be acquired by the questing process, purchasing them from the Trading Post or from other players. They can be earned through completing specific missions in the game.
To upgrade an item of equipment, you must visit the NPC [Armoror Boboko located in Central Flarine. Based on the kind of item, you will need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time
Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of your equipment and ship without the need to level them. While it's not inexpensive, it's an excellent way to increase your stats without having to spend a lot of time fighting. It's important to know the cost and benefits prior to investing your time or money.
Each upgrade boosts an item's base stat by a specific amount and also offers the chance for a bonus stat increase. The random substat can range from a small increase to a significant boost. Focus on the items that perform best in slot first. They will bring higher returns for your money.
You can check the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and choose the weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will show the progress and expected completion time. In certain cases, you may be able speed the process of upgrading by applying a Glyph.
It is also possible to salvage some or all upgrade components from an
item level upgrade using a high-end salvage kit that is sold by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. However, this does not include legendary equipment and upgrades that can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor or reclaiming them with the corresponding Karma Merchant.
Rewards
Item upgrading rewards players with a variety of items and currencies. In addition, every upgrade has a chance to grant a random extra stat bonus. The amount of bonus awarded differs for each upgrade, and it's generally higher for items that are rarer. The players can perform the Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded before spending tickets. The search can also help determine whether the item is of the appropriate level and if the player could benefit from a specific upgrade.
During the upgrade process, the
item upgrading will slowly move closer to the next stage, but it is not always able to reach its fully upgraded bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant but there's an 80% chance of obtaining a fully upgraded item in just one cycle. The more levels that an item gains, the higher its stat value will be, and the more items can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to gain an attribute bonus, or an additional effect, when the equipment is worn. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Players can purchase upgrade items by crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting, or receiving as rewards. Additionally, players can recover upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or by salvaging them using a top-quality salvage kit. Glyphs placed on tools for gathering can be swapped freely.
A player can reroll an item into a different upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with an arrow for reroll. This will alter the layout of the game and allow players to choose up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged for an item of level 1 of the same type. Rerolled items will not retain their level, or the resources used to upgrade it.
The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its quality and tier. Rare items can be upgraded up to a maximum of level six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels nine. The upgrade of an item is added to its base statistics. This means that they will not increase in the future after a certain level.
