Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example, ask the
robot cleaner to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, just a glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks must be completed like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can send the
robot vacuum that mops to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
