Unlike some of the other robovacs that we tested, the i3+ EVO has a self-emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's full. This helps reduce the need for hands-on maintenance and also helps prevent the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it must be manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin can hold 2.4L of debris that is more than enough to get it through several cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.
Like the i7model, this model also uses the latest floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not for the i3+ EVO.
The i3+ EVO is more effective of removing surface debris when compared to other robovacs we've looked at, but it's not the best in cleaning corners and edges. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It was quite rough on furniture, since it moved chairs away. It also caused collisions against the sides of the bed.
