Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to know if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the best choice. These robots come with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people but it will help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and functionality are among the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks great and can be hidden when not in use. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only cheap robot vacuum cleaner vacuum I've tried that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas of the home. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a clean zone for plush carpets.
