The majority of robot vacuums and mops can be customised using an application that allows you to save the maps of your home, set cleaning schedules and select mopping modes. You can also adjust the suction power, and how much water your mop consumes.

A mapping function can help your robot navigate through rooms. An obstacle avoidance feature helps it avoid running over wires, furniture or even stray toys. These are essential features to have in my house, filled with strewn-about toys.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the flagship mop and vacuum, so it naturally comes with features. It can mop and sweep simultaneously, and even raise its mop pads or brushes to ensure that soft surfaces don't get too wet. It can also stay clear of obstacles by spotting pet toys, plants, and other small objects.

The robot vacuum has a maximum suction power of 6,000 pascals, which is more than any other robot cleaner with mop vacuum we've tested up to now. It's also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its position, which helps prevent it from getting stuck on objects.

The mopping function is impressive and the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply a constant pressure of 6 Newtons to the mop pad, resulting in a deep clean. It also has mop lifter that lifts the pad automatically when it transitions between tile and laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs, in order to avoid soaking soft surfaces.

In addition to this it is also the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying features. The pad can be washed and heat-dried within the dock, and the dust bin is automatically emptied and returned to it. You can set it and forget about it. It is only necessary to replenish the water tank or replace the dust bag occasionally.

All this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. I ran it on its normal mop and vac settings for around 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to run low on power and return to its base for a recharge. This is within the range of the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is in line with other hybrids I've test.

This is a highly robust and well-rounded product with the only drawback being the fact that it's expensive. Its sheer number of features make it an appealing choice for anyone who is looking to replace their old mops and stick vacuums. We would highly recommend this vacuum if you can justify the cost.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. Its high-end price is justified by its impressive features, which include a large vacuuming capacity and two gyrating mops. It also comes with an app-enabled smart control system and an advanced obstacle-avoidance system.

The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 Euros which is one of the highest robotic vacuum and mop combos on the market. In my tests, it performed very well across the house. It removed 98.4% debris on all types of floors and managed to lift hair that was long without tangling. The mops also performed well, achieving great cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models, due to their rotational motion and a strong dose of cleaning solution.

The docking station is the main selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The docking station empties the dustbin into a bag for dirt, refills the tank with water to use to mop and also dry mop pads. It also comes with an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and allows you to schedule regular cleaning sessions with its smart controls.

In contrast to the other hybrid vacuum mops I've tested and compared, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris pickup performance on carpets. In addition, its mops aren't as adept at removing stubborn stains as those found in the top Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

In spite of the L10S Ultra's numerous top-of-the-line features, it requires regular maintenance and care. To avoid mildew and unpleasant odors, the base unit, dustbag, and water tanks must be cleaned and emptied regularly. They also need to be dried. The mop pads sold separately will also require replacement every few months.

With the L10S Ultra's pricey cost and robust features, I would recommend it to anyone with the money for it. If you're on a tight budget I suggest a more basic model that allows you to save money and still enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. It's important to note that even it's true that the L10S Ultra is the best robot vacuum and mop you can buy, its high purchase price and ongoing maintenance will eventually make it more of a desire than a necessity.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

Eufy S1 Pro is the robot hoover vacuum and mop that you require to get rid of messes and remove dirt from your floors. This powerful mop and robot vacuum combo comes with an impressive 8,000 Pa of suction power, an impressively large battery that can be used for mopping and vacuuming, and top-notch obstacles-avoiding. It also comes with mop rollers that clean itself as it moves and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-clean in order to rinse off the mop pad.

The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller is almost full width of the bot, and it is constantly supplied with clean, ozonated water from its dock. While it spins the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is removed by the side brushes, or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station, which is then absorbed by the tank's heating elements and dumped into a larger storage container. The tank onboard holds a decent amount of water, and can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.

The S1 Pro comes ready to use straight out of the box, just like most other robotic vacuums and mops. It will need to be filled with clean water, but this is easy to do in the cleaning dock. You can also add cleaning solution to the dock, if you prefer to have the option of using your own cleaner. If you decide to select this option you'll have to purchase the cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow users to use their own cleaner of choice.

As with most robots like it, the S1 Pro did well in the area of coverage and navigation efficiency. It was quick to map the area and was able to navigate around furniture. It sat on carpets with longer piles a few times during my tests. However, this could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for a reasonable price.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum cleaner but it does have some outstanding features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag, filling its water tanks, and cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system is able to sweep a large area before returning to its dock. The vacuum's extreme suction is perfect for picking up pet hair and other debris that accumulates on carpets.

The app that runs the appliance is quite dense, offering a wide variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually start the full map and then clear everything that's been that is mapped by the device or you can select individual rooms, expandable zones or even a schedule you've set up. There are several mopping options, including SmartPlan -- an algorithm that utilizes the sensors on the mops to find the most efficient way to tidy your home as it maps the space.

The Qrevo did well in our tests, like the other Roborock models we've tested. Its navigation system is robust it can map rooms quickly and cleaning them in an organized fashion. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does a great job of covering a room, leaving no major gaps or missed areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance function works well, however it's not as advanced as the color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect hazards like thick carpets but may not be able to detect smaller objects such as rug tassels and electrical wires.

This machine has one major issue: it doesn't have a mop option after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who regularly vacuum before using their robot. Fortunately, there's a simple workaround: the app includes an option to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. You can make use of the vacuum's mopping functions to remove the last traces and dust that remained after vacuuming. It's a nice addition, and it helps the robot get rid of a bit better than its cheaper rivals.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpg
