The Best
Robot Vacuum That MopsNoah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.
It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one sweep. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well, but this is something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively rapid.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.
The device has a high price tag but has a variety of smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three months.
This
robot vacuum best vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1
robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate floorplan map, which it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture the majority of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some nice jingles to inform you that it was starting and finishing its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a
good robot vacuum choice for people who want a smart robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two water tanks, a clean sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base also comes with a set of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare incident, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy units.
