Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are getting more efficient. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and can take care of a variety of floors. Choose models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the best models integrate with your smartphone. Find an app that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of floors and rooms.
When I tested the S1, it was able to locate the downstairs area, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them and even managed to traverse raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes struggled to get down stairs in a single move. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rugs.
Before each mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to clean the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a powerful option for your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstructions and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it instead of simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
This robot has a simple interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum which can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It also has a number of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a
good robot vacuum vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty solid as well, though it does sometimes get hung up on the small area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can control by defining a virtual boundary in the application). Its mopping capabilities are also excellent and include a pair of mops which can lift and scrub the floor, rather than just drag the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station when required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra
robot cleaner vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble it can navigate through tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It can move from one area to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a wide margin around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and streamlined. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter the suction power, mop settings and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will need a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are great in removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get every speck of dust. This is why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves, and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mops, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.
Despite losing the ability to clean your floors, the Q5 still has the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a
robot vacuums with mop in this price range. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa and an
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop-empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It comes with a smart application which allows you to schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested did not show problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested, it also uses a unique system to map your home this really helps it get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. The K10 Plus also collects more dust in a larger bin, so you don't have to empty it as often. Additionally, it has washable filters, which reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot is also able to detect carpets and increase suction if required. You can also mark areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
