Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Robot Vacuum DealsIf you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to
remote control vacuum cleaner. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas that you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
The design is also better than the competition. It features an elegant, top piece that appears like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's
automatic vacuum Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other
robotic vacuum cleaner on sale cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's difficult to know if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the
best cheap robot vacuum option. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. perform to the standards. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums often fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones, adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
It's a small base station that looks beautiful and can be hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require this.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've used that has done well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price tag.
If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It can be tucked away under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, with a sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it needs to recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.
The sleek G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges faster and offers similar battery life while offering better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is, however is less expensive and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
