1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling, the i3 EVO are both identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. This makes the i3+ a good option for those looking for a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience but don't mind having to empty their dust bin manually when it is full.

Both robots are adept at picking up surface debris on hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept in getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have test. It could get stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like hardwood and rug.

iRobot recommends that you tidy the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning from where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. Roomba by iRobot

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging, self-navigating, and the most crucial feature of all -- it has a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot using voice or through the app.

The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin, which eliminates the main sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room cleaning robot and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.

The V10 is powered with a Lithium-ion battery with 7 cells of energy, which produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system captures allergens, and then lets cleaner air into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets, and then pick up large particles or fine dust. It comes with three suction modes that can be adjusted to suit the task. It swiftly switches from floor vac to handheld vacuum, and then back to floor.

The model also comes with docks that charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours and offers an easy access to two attachments as well as a wand clip. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons models, which require a lengthy charge and are a pain to store.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a brand you see on all sorts of home electronics So it's no surprise that they're also one of the most reputable robot vacuum and mop manufacturers. Their Jet Bot AI+ is loaded with cutting-edge onboard intelligence tech for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app offers a variety of options for customizing your robotic cleaner. These include virtual barriers, mopping levels and behavior customizations docking frequency settings and much more. The app is simple to learn and use similar to other Samsung devices.

In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it removed 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it did not do particularly well with higher-up objects like cords or socks which was a disappointment. It's also more expensive than some of the other models we tested which could be a problem for some shoppers.
