WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item upgrade, but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item upgrader kit will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other items. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using an The button will display the item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item level upgrade (m1bar.com) and the current level of the item upgrader kit. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

Many locations offer item upgraders, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require several methods which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system was modified a bit, and numerous new features added. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

Players have several choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complex can require as much as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader for the item such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one purpose and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
