It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through a clean.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as impressive. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and is effective however this is something you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it has some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base also has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its application.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky boxy models.
