Robots That
automatic vacuum and mop and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide can get you up and running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time, with the mop capable of operating for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is capable of running for 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its course in a way that is
best automatic vacuum and clean around them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

It also allows the robot to access furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for apartments or condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

The L20 Ultra

This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

There's an impressive amount of settings available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
