robot vacuum reviews vacuums and mops are getting more powerful. They pass our tests on cleaning and are able to handle a variety of flooring. Find models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging docks to automatically empty and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of floors and rooms.
When I tried the S1 It was quick to map the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes struggled to get down stairs in a single step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it came to carpets or rugs.
Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills up its water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1
robots that vacuum and mop the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. For this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with a number of innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than just moving a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried at the base station, as required.
This robot has an easy-to-use interface that guides you throughout the process. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction which can easily pick up dirt and other debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping is quite excellent, too, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation as required. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush ensure an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that run across baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a large distance over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and well-organized. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop settings, and view 2D and 3-D maps. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for real-time video supervision. However, you will require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
robot vacuum that mops vacuums are fantastic at picking up dirt and debris, but they can't reach every speck of dust. It is important to clean often, at least once a week. This is especially true for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mop, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your Wi-Fi at home network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, which includes the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't come with mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.
Despite losing the ability to mop floors, the Q5 still has the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot in this price range. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It has a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also comes with an
automatic vacuum and mop robot water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to clean up cat litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested. It also has a unique method to map your home, which will allow it to enter the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. The device also collects dust in a larger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and increase suction if needed. The app also allows you to mark off areas you want to avoid, which is a nice feature.
