Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading (
This Internet site) is one of the most effective ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on large-ticket drops or trade. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your items.
Upgrades to equipment give an additional bonus to the item's stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons stronger. You can get them from fighting off enemies, locating them in item spheres or buying them from karma dealers. They can also be salvaged from equipment that has them, or through the highest-quality salvage kits such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.
The main function of upgrade components is to allow an
item upgrader kit to be upgraded but they also serve other functions. They can be stacked to boost the value of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to increase the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can be forged to give extra bonuses. For instance, a specially created glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target, while an upgrade boost will increase the attack or defense quality of a weapon or armor.
Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will let you bind it to an item. This will show an upgrade component list that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been gathered.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item gains when upgraded with that component. Organic components, for instance have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. You should upgrade your organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, and then switch to the mechanical upgrades.
Each item has an upgrade limit number that can be received. The number of items that can be upgraded is determined by their upgradeable rank and the kind of upgrade they can receive. For instance, the most expensive possible
upgrade items for a weapon is a weapon of tier 10. The most common weapon upgrade is a tier 6 gun and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of items that all share the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at least once. The upgrade increases the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. After subsequent upgrades, primary stats are boosted even further (for instance, +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats increases randomly.
Upgrading a weapon can also increase its damage base, which can be important for some builds. Weapons can't be upgraded for an increased maximum defence roll than their base. Upgrades can be a great option to increase the value of a set and unique items, however it's important to note that they might not be more effective than a high-level raneword in any build.
If you're upgrading an item with a bonus the item can be rerolled one time and the guarantee will reset to 0. The same power dies are used to roll an item, just as it would be to increase its level. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrades can be completed by visiting the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power dice of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the right amount of Minerals and Erons. They can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide an additional reward for each tier of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled a single time, using the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
A player can reroll any item acquired during the game, provided they have enough reroll tokens to do so. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced by an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens can be purchased in the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They are not refundable. The new item will have the same extra bonuses as the previous one, but the stats will differ.
Players can alter the identification of their equipment, in addition to changing it's roll by interfacing with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from a weapon to armor or vice versa, while maintaining its base stats and required attributes. The change will be permanent and will affect all characters that own the equipment.
The player can also upgrade their level of an item for any equipment that is equipped. This can be done by engaging with an upgrader NPC, and then obtaining upgrade components. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, item type, and the number of crests. For weapons, each upgrade will add five percent to the damage.
Upgrading an item will make it more powerful however, it can reduce its effectiveness. It is therefore important to find a balance between these two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading at all however, others will need to be upgraded to maximize their potential. A player might want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to see what else it can become.
The primary reason people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is because they are trying to acquire a certain weapon or character that they aren't able to obtain. These items can be expensive and time-consuming and the RNG gods do not always want to play. The only options left are to invest real money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is extremely popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can decide to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I think this feature was intended to increase the value of rare and expensive items. However, as most items are replaced quite quickly, and can only be leveled up to a certain level, you will generally replace it before it becomes too old. It's not worth upgrading items using gem sockets because the power of the gemstone will outweigh any increment in the ilvl.
You will see a small box when you click on the upgrade option for an item. It will show the template of the item, the crest, and the cost of Valorstone to increase the item level. Armor and weapons have different prices, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template outlines the stats to be added to an upgraded item and also the current ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and the crest is calculated based on the current Ilvl of the item as well as the upgrade templates. The ilvl will also be decreased by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For example, an upgrade of 8% will reduce the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 8percent.
The
item upgrader mod will be upgraded to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damages, and block, parry and dodge rating in addition to the base level. The increases are also based on the upgrade template.
The amount of damage and defense that the item receives when it is leveled can be observed below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Aside from practice equipment, all other items and armor get the same stats when they are leveled up. The value of these additional stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly rolled version of a weapon or piece of armor able to command much more in trade value than unupp'd versions. The same applies to other armor pieces, like tiaras or circlets.
