WoW Upgrades - The
Best item upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.
The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar
item upgrade, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using an The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current level of the
Item Level upgrade. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an
Best item upgrade is upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Upgraders for items are available at many locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with numerous new features added. Once the player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items are from another set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available when certain milestones are reached.
Crests
Players have a number of options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for gear of a certain rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.
The use of these currencies isn't too difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once an
item upgrade reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the
Best item upgrade equipment available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
