iRobot Roomba J7+
The iRobot Roomba J7+ is an upgrade over the previous model of the company and includes a new feature to make it more effective at avoiding pet waste. It uses smart mapping to create maps of rooms and floors, and it works hard to stay clear of obstacles like furniture, charging cables, and shoes. It also detects dirt and prioritize cleaning areas that are heavily filthy. This is a significant improvement over earlier models that sometimes ignored the dirty spots or cleaned them for only the shortest amount of time.
The robot vacuum comes with a brand new self-emptying base station, which can deposit debris from the dustbin into its own 2.4L dirt disposal bag. IRobot claims that this bag can hold up to 60 days of debris and means you only have to empty and change the bag once every three months. The base station also includes a spare bag that can be used for quick replacements.
It's easy to set-up and use the Roomba device, which is compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and can be controlled via the iRobot Genius app. You can use the app to decide when to begin and end the cleaning, as well as how long it should spend on the task at hand, and create a schedule.
In our tests during our tests, the iRobot Roomba J7+ was able to clean the floors of area rug and hardwood without any problems in the foyer, kitchen and the family room. It listened to our commands and performed its work quietly, recording just 64db on the decibel meter during the operation. It took it 90 minutes to sweep a single room, and the battery needed to be recharged following the cleaning for a total of an hour and 58 minutes. You can also expand your iRobot ecosystem with the Combo J7, which lets you to pair it with the iRobot mop m6 and have one run while the other one moves around the room.
Dyson 360 Viz Nav
The Dyson 360 Viz Nav robot vacuum cleaner is the ideal option for anyone who lives in a multi-floored residence. The model can create maps of floors across multiple floors and store them in the app, making it easy to switch between spaces without repeating the setup procedure. The
robot vacuums that mop can be controlled by voice commands, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Dyson's robot vacuum makes use of cameras, sensors and other technology to detect obstacles. A panoramic camera at the top of the robot along with 26 other sensors will help to create an image of the area as it moves. This helps the robot avoid furniture and obstacles.
In our tests during our tests, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav was able to reach right up to the edges and baseboards. It could also be easily guided around furniture pieces with extremely tight corners. The suction of the robot is powerful and it is able to pick up every hair strand, dust particle and dried-out piece Playdoh that we tossed at it. The vacuum took out the bin quickly and efficiently and reduced cleaning time by half.
However, the Dyson 360 Viz Nav didn't do as well as other robots in our obstacle-avoidance test. It had a hard time with a temporary drying rack that it kept trying to scoot under, eventually getting stuck and disrupting the cleaning cycle. It also had difficulty navigating some of the larger pieces of furniture, like a chair or coffee table. The Dyson 360 Vis Nav also has a problem climbing stairs which is a major issue for a lot of people who live in multi-story houses.

Beko RCV 5
The Beko RCV 5 is a relative newcomer to the robotic vacuum and mopping scene however, it's already making waves due to its sleek design and decent cost. The robot has a few tricks up its sleeves that make it stand out from the competition, including self-emptying capabilities and object recognition. It's easy to set-up and use using a simple application that allows you to customize a variety of settings.
This model's navigation system uses sensors and a combination of mapping to guide you through your home. It does a good amount of avoiding obstacles. The app allows you to adjust the cleaning path, to allow certain areas to be cleaned more often. The app may be confusing at first but once you learn how to use it, you'll be able schedule cleanings, and also manage the robot's power levels.
Despite its impressive array of features, the RCV 5 is not without its flaws. It has a tiny water tank that can hold up to 240ml of water at each time. While this is enough to get the basic wipe clean, it's not ideal for getting rid of stubborn stains. The plate is also not equipped with a rotation or vibration function.
Finally, the battery life isn't as long as you would expect from a robot that's priced at this level. In fact the RCV 5 only lasts for about a third of a cleaning cycle before needing a recharge. It's not a huge issue but it's something to consider when shopping for a new robotic vacuum cleaner.
Karcher RCV 5
The German manufacturer Karcher is
best rated robot vacuum known for its pressure washers. However, it has entered the market of robot vacuums with a model that vacuums and mops. The RCV 5 offers an impressive variety of features, including great obstacle detection (with the dual laser system) and mapping that can be monitored in real-time via the app that is smart.
It also can detect carpeted surfaces and automatically activate the wet mopping function. The spot cleaning feature is very useful. It can be programmed to run weekly. The RCV 5 is a good robot cleaner that has suction power of 2,500 pascals. It is able to clean hard and soft flooring, and can reach into corners and under low furniture.
Karcher Home Robots is an app that runs on smartphones and, like other robots it can be used to start cleaning processes and create maps of your home. It's also possible to set up virtual walls and zones in which the RCV 5 isn't allowed to drive, as well as numerous other controls.
A downside of the RCV 5 is that its dust bin can only hold about one liter and will require regular emptying, unlike some models with integrated disposal technology built into their docking stations. It's also a touch heavier than some competing gadgets which makes it less portable and requiring more space to place in its charging station. The RCV 5 was rated highly by testers for its user-friendliness and app control. It did well in our tests, but some testers struggled to get its voice technology working properly.
