Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its stats base and often increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations applied.
The racial Shield elite Razortail for instance, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capability in PvP and/or add additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. This allows you to swap the
item upgrader mod for another similar one, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. However, they don't retain the same level as the original
item upgrader kit and any resources wasted won't be compensated for.
Survivors can obtain reroll tokens in several ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests, or buy them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute on a piece of equipment for example, increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can roll equipment in three categories: physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power increases the damage done by melee and weapons and spell power boosts rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give players additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to higher quality. To produce them, you'll need a higher level reroll token. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The reroll marker, unlike other special tokens or markers placed on action spaces stays on the spot until the next Success is rerolled. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they show an image and description of the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's shop can exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
During the course of a game, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on chosen Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls, and those that are in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and accessories. These stones are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats or attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by completing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". This will display a list of the item's levels and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the player has met the requirements, he is able to select the upgrade option and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is also completely risk-free and does not affect the item's durability. This makes the system an excellent method for players to gain an advantage in combat without straining their bank account. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item to an entirely new piece of equipment.
New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are a variety of methods to get them. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that lets players increase the base stats of weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item a boost in that area. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been reached.
Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be added to more than one
item upgrader kit at a time. Each upgrade component requires an amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left one is where players can place equipment that needs to be upgraded, and the right shows a preview of what the equipment will look like once it is at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow once the player has enough materials will start the upgrading process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will increase by only a tiny amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item reaches its maximum level, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. In the same way, once an item is on the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for that track will come with a discount.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary depending on its type, but you'll typically need Dilithium and the number of Upgrade Tokens.
The
upgrade items (
Going Listed here) can be incorporated into equipment sets and weapons for extra effects or a higher level of the
item upgrades. The upgrades can be acquired from a variety of sources within the game, including crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been added to an object it cannot be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components have additional modifiers that can enhance the stats of the item.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Some items are better off being upgraded less for their increased stats, but for the fact that it allows players to gain the maximum amount of value from a flawless roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
When you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
The game will place an item in your inventory when you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how far you are to getting the upgrade completed. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
