1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful
robot vacuum with mop vacuums we've test. They feature motors that are top-of-the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model) they utilize smart mapping to create detailed floorplans and avoid household obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also have a feature called Carpet Boost that increases its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our bare floor tests They're also particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to become entangled in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of a room.
However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on for long and don't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle however. And, if you need to, you can swap the mopping pad to a dry one in minutes.
2. IRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it easy to clean and efficient in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best
robot vacuums with mop vacuum for carpets, though it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.
This high-performing mop and vacuum combination uses advanced sensor technology to dodge obstacles and pet waste, and it also learns the layout of your home over time to provide more efficient cleaning. You can change its cleaning schedule and customize zones using the app that is well-designed. Its battery life is average compared to other models.
You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when in a carpeted room to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is great to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean an entire home, and it did so with 66 percent of its battery left. It also did an excellent job of cleaning a mix of floors and rooms that had various flooring types, such as certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds and cables.
It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming it, something we've not seen on other robot vacuum/mop combos.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
With a sleek circular design that appears like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxy units this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive looking models in our tests. The latest model from iRobot is also its smartest. It features advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).
It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score a perfect 10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.
The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has a simple mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 still a loud unit. This can be a concern in the mornings before work, or at night when you are trying to fall asleep.
It's also a bit expensive, but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing to put up some more volume and a little more cost it's a capable two-in-one that should please almost everyone.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best
robot vacuums uk vacuum and mop. It comes with a variety of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine, similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and cleans and dry mop pads.
The smart
robot vacuum reviews employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium competitors. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time, though this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and was often confused with power cords or obstructions.
The vacuum cleaner has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to complete the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home according to the degree of dirt they are.
If you have a bigger home, you should consider selecting a robot that comes with zones or spot cleaning modes. This lets you instruct the robot on which part of your home needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice control. If you have lots of furniture, a stair-mode is also useful. For families with busy schedules recharge functions and resume feature that allows your
robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum to continue from where it left off could be very beneficial.
5. iRobot Roomba RX3
The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you might think from its price. It's a pro at vacuuming, picking up 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using a single pad and a reciprocating movement which is cleaner than the majority of the mop cleaners with robots that we've examined. It's also self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying, washable base.
The well-designed iRobot app will guide you through a mapping run that gathers information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, set up an area for cleaning or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms for better performance. The app has a range of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
It is also able to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean an area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like cute little eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it is more likely to be caught on low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums that we have test. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that can't be used as an emptying bin.
