World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item upgrader kit will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a high risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the Best item upgrader method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade; internet site, system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable Best item upgrade has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player improves a piece of equipment it will be replaced by a new item. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item level upgrade also comes with its own set of bonuses. This can be a downside, as the item can be more expensive even if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will have a level 1 base and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be beneficial but it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. The item can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any gained bonuses such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance it will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade requires an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
