Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A
good robot vacuum combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively low cost and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It then can alter its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the
robot vacuums best crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40
best robot vacuum and mop vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner (
https://2ch-ranking.net/) is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum removes dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for pads. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or individually. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra
Robot hoover is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have several features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and small dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a great method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's a plethora of settings available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
