They're also priced lower than many standard-depth French door fridges and can eliminate the necessity for a separate, smaller under-counter freezer. The LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is no exception and offers the capacity of a standard fridge, but in an elegant, modern design with an internal dispenser for easy access to filtered water.
This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. This LG refrigerator stood out during our tests. It offers ample space to provide for a family, however, we did notice a few irritating flaws. The freezer drawers are not as cold as we'd like. The temperature of the middle drawer was 41° during our peak use test, which is enough to freeze ice cream and other frozen foods. The temperature in the rest of your freezer was at about 36 degrees.
The doors of refrigerators also have handles with sunken handles that are difficult for shorter people to close. It may seem like a minor issue however we prefer front-mounted handles on refrigerators, as they are simpler to open and close.

Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
Samsung's newest counter-depth French door fridge model, the RF23M8090SG is priced at $4200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also performs well in our cooling tests, though we're not a fan of its gimmicky polygon handles and the crisper bins feel a little flimsy.
Bespoke is one of the features that makes the RF23M8090SG stand out. It lets you personalize your refrigerator using removable colored panels. There are 11 colors to choose from, from soft pastels to brighter hues and four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be personalized with text or photos which makes the fridge a more personal touch point that can match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.
You can also alter the color of the refrigerator's LED lighting, which is nice. The interior of the refrigerator features a smart finish which reduces the appearance of smudges and makes cleaning easier. The only flaws that really bother the RF23M8090SG is its crowded beverage center, as well as a little learning curve to open the door-indoor feature which houses a water dispenser as well as a pitcher. It is important to locate the lever located on the underside midway down the door. Once you find it the second door opens inside the fridge, which houses the docking station for the pitcher and the water dispenser.

Frigidaire Counter Depth
french door fridge not plumbed Door Refrigerator
French door refrigerators are an excellent addition to any kitchen. They look neat and work well in all sizes of rooms. Counter-depth refrigerators are a great option if you want this design, but without the added height. This model from Frigidaire which we've thoroughly tested and has received an above average rating in our evaluations due to its low cost and thoughtful features such as an adjustable temperature drawer.
It also has a few annoying issues. Our test data suggests that the FGHB2866PF can get very hot a lot in the freezer and get uncomfortably hot in the innermost shelves of the fridge. Our heat maps show how temperature fluctuates minute by minute. The orange region in the upper right, which represents the butter bin, is particularly warm for most of our time of testing. This might not seem too awful at first glance however, it means that the fridge is spending a large portion of its time above 33 degrees.
It's also worth mentioning that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model. This could be a consideration for some buyers. The main issue is that the fridge isn't the
best french style fridge freezer. It's lacking advanced features and a durable construction which makes it difficult to recommend it over more expensive options at this price point.
In many ways, this Frigidaire feels like the stainless-steel version of a fridge you might see on display at your local appliances store. It's a good choice with a brushed-finish that looks attractive and is resistant against smudges. However it's not able to differentiate itself from rivals which are more feature-rich and less expensive.
Still, if you're shopping for a cheap counter-depth French door fridge and don't have the funds to spend a lot on our top choices, then the FGHC2331PF is worth looking into. It's got enough storage for the majority of families, and does a good job of keeping food fresh. Even even if it's not an energy efficient unit, it's a lot cheaper than our best-rated models.
